PRODUCT OVERVIEW/REVIEW:
In the film business, the “Director’s Cut” emerged as a means for filmmakers to present their creative vision of a story. At Francis Ford Coppola Winery, Director’s Cut wines were created as a way for the winemakers to craft cuvées that would reflect their unique interpretation of varietal and terroir.*
Today wine is lushly-textured, with aromas of guava, pineapple, citrus, and vanilla. On the palate, flavors of lemon peel and baked apples are laced with subtle hints of caramel, brioche, and the merest hint of baking spices. Balancing acidity brings the wine to a long finish.

91 points, Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Rich baking spice aromas and nutty, poached pear flavors rest on a smooth, slightly smoke-edged texture for an oaky, toasted expression overall. A full body and broad mouth-feel give it a lot of heft on the palate." (3/1/23)
